Imperio Argentina Magdalena Nile del Río actually ( born December 26, 1906 in Buenos Aires, Argentina; † August 22, 2003 in Benalmadena near Malaga, Spain) was a Spanish singer and actress.

The queen of the song was one of the best-known Spanish-language singers. Magdalena was born in Tango area of ​​San Telmo in Buenos Aires. She was the daughter of a guitarist from Gibraltar and a Spanish actress. Age of six began her career as a singer.

Her husband was the director Florián Rey. With him, she turned many Spanish films in the 1930s. Of these, some in Berlin. Adolf Hitler, one of their supporters, offered her to settle in Germany. She refused this, because she did not want to serve for propaganda purposes of National Socialism. In 1992, she sang alongside Rocio Jurado Musical azabache which was organized for the Expo92.
