The Impey River is a river in the west of the Australian state of Western Australia.
Geography
It rises on the southern slopes of Mount Murchison and flows west to its confluence with the Murchison River.
History
The first European who discovered the river, was the surveyor Robert Austin on his expedition in 1857. A year later, the flow from the discoverer Francis T. Gregory after the famous geologist Sir Roderick Murchison Impay was named.
