In Buri District

Amphoe In Buri ( Thai: อำเภอ อินทร์บุรี ) is the northernmost district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Singburi. Singburi is located in the central region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Takhli of Nakhon Sawan, Amphoe Ban Mi Lopburi Province, Amphoe Mueang and Amphoe Bang Rachan Singburi province of Singburi and Amphoe Sapphaya and Sankhaburi the province of Chainat.

History

In Buri in the past, one of the largest city-states was ( Mueang ) of Siam. It was founded in 1369 in the reign of King Ramesuan. In the Kingdom of Ayutthaya, the governor of In Buri was always a member of the royal family, as in Buri was the northern border city of the Kingdom.

1895, during the Thesaphiban - administrative reform, King Chulalongkorn classified ( Rama V ) In Buri down to a part of Singburi. Later it became a district of the province of Singburi.

Management

Amphoe In Buri is divided into ten subdistricts (tambon ), divide further into 101 villages ( Muban ).

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • In Buri ( Thai เทศบาล ตำบล อินทร์บุรี ), consisting of parts of the tambon In Buri,
  • Thap Ya ( Thai เทศบาล ตำบล ทับ ยา ), consisting of the whole tambon Thap Ya.

There are also nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
