Ina Bauer (figure skater)
Ina Bauer Szenes ( born January 31, 1941 in Krefeld ) is a former German figure skater, which was launched in a single run.
It was from 1957 to 1959 German Champion. Your best international results were the fourth place at the European Championship in 1959 and a fourth place at the World Championships in 1958 and 1959.
For a time it was regarded as the world's best Kürläuferin, but was slightly weaker in the duty, so they never won an international medal, despite the training stays at Star coach Edi Scholdan in Colorado Springs. She invented the now named after her " Ina Bauer " step. After a hopeless distance back in after compulsory at the European Championships in 1960, she moved to pressure her father - a silk manufacturer from Krefeld - from the amateur sport back, which was a big scandal of the German figure skating.

She was the predecessor of the figure skater Uschi Keszler at the American Ice Follies ice show and married the Hungarian figure skater Istvan Szenes. Later, she ran a commercial art business in her home town of Krefeld and worked as a figure skating coach at the skating club Krefeld ( EVK ).
