Indaka (English Indaka Local Municipality ) is a town in South Africa's District Uthukela in the province of KwaZulu -Natal. The administrative center of the municipality is located in Wasbank. Phumlani Sydney Mpungose ​​is the mayor. The IFP represents the majority in the City Council.

The name of the village comes from the Indaka River. 2007, the municipality had 101 557 inhabitants according to projections. It covers an area of ​​992 square kilometers.

Geography
