Indeep

Indeep was a native of New York New Wave band of the 1980s, which was mainly known for its post- disco classic " Last Night a DJ Saved My Life".

Career

The band was managed by its songwriter Michael Cleveland, and was known for its strict discounted musical bass rhythm and early hip-hop elements, which were interpreted by two female singers: Réjane " Reggie " Magloire and Rose Marie Ramsey. Michael Cleveland occurred in some of the songs on itself with early Rap parts.

"Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" was published in 1982 when record label "Sound of New York " / " Becket Records" and achieved its best chart position in the spring of 1983 among the top 10 of the U.S. dance charts and the Top 15 in the UK. The subsequent single, " When Boys Talk" fell short of the success of both sides of the Atlantic. Together with its limited later success offset this circumstance Indeep into the category of one- hit wonder. Singer Magloire later found some success with the Belgian techno and house project Technotronic. "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" was later covered by Mariah Carey on her 2001 release, Glitter.
