Indemini was, until April 24, 2010 a municipality in the district Gambarogno, in the district of Locarno in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland.

Fusion community

On 25 November 2007, the merger of the nine municipalities was approved on the southern shore of Lake Maggiore from eight municipalities: Caviano, contone, Gerra (Gambarogno ) Indemini, Magadino, Ascona, Sant'Abbondio and Vira ( Gambarogno) merge to form community Gambarogno. Geography

History

A first mention is the village in 1213 under the then name Indempno. The first inhabitants were mercenaries.
