Inden is a municipality in North Rhine Kreis Düren in North Rhine -Westphalia ( Germany ). It belonged to 1 January 1972 to the circle Jülich.

Geographical Location

The territory of the municipality forms the transition to the Zuelpicher Jülich flare.

The community has been dredged since the late 1990s, largely because of the lignite mining indene by RWE Power AG (formerly Rhein Braun). In a semicircle of districts Frenz / Lamersdorf / Lucherberg the new town center with name Inden / Altdorf was born. 2005 began the resettlement of the village pier. The new pier site located in the municipality Langerwehe. By districts Frenz and Lamersdorf the Inde flows. With great effort, 2005 Inde was diverted into new territory to the advancing mining around.

History

On January 1, 1972, the former municipalities Altdorf, Frenz, Lamersdorf, Lucherberg, Pier and Schophoven were incorporated to indene.

Structures

Visible from afar shows the way indene, which is right on the edge of the community power plant located in Eschweiler Weisweiler. Inden / Altdorf has a football club, tennis club and a handball club. For the youth sports the municipality Inden has also funded a skating rink near the main school.

Traffic

Indene is due to the partially disused state road 56 and the motorway 4 The next driveway on the highway is Weisweiler / Eschweiler -Ost.

Bus lines connect indene in all directions with Kirchberg, Jülich, herb Hausen, Lower Trim, Memory, Düren, Luchem, Langerwehe, Weisweiler and Eschweiler.

Indene had until 1983 a connection to the railway network. For one thing, indene terminus of the line Düren - indene.
