Independence (Israeli political party)

Ha'Atzma'ut ( העצמאות, independence ) is a political party in Israel, which was founded on January 17, 2011 by Ehud Barak, when he and four other Members of the Avodah left. The party was thus represented by five seats in the 18th Knesset. You want to represent the political center as well as Zionist and democratic positions.

On November 26, 2012 Barak announced to end his political career and not to run in January 2013 for a seat in the Knesset. At the elections to the Knesset in January 2013, the party did not participate.
