India national basketball team
The Indian national basketball team represents India in international basketball games of Lords. One of the greatest successes of the Indian national team includes participation in the Olympic Games in 1980. Due to the boycott of some Western countries, among others, the Federal Republic of Germany and the United States had to be increased the number of participants in the basketball competition. This was India as a representative of Asia in the Olympic Games to participate. However, India lost all the games in the tournament and was twelfth among twelve participants. The greatest successes in continental competitions each include a fourth place finish at the basketball Asia Championship in 1975 and the basketball competition of the Asian Games 1951.
