India Navigation

India Navigation was an American jazz label from the 1970s to 1990s.

The independent record label India Navigation was founded in the 1970s by Bob Cummins and initially offered musicians of the American avant-garde jazz and Creative Jazz a platform for publications such as the band Air, Arthur Blythe ( In Concert, 1977), Joseph Jarman ( Egwu - Anwu, 1977), Pharoah Sanders ( Pharoah, 1977), Jay Hoggard ( Vibraphone Solo, 1978) and David Murray's first albums Flowers for Albert in 1976 and Live at the Lower Manhattan Ocean Club 1977. subsequently were on the label recordings by James Newton Anthony Davis and Muhal Richard Abrams, but also by Bob Neloms, Chico Freeman, Alvin Batiste or Chet Baker published. In addition, in some cases also recordings of minimalist music, such as Arnold or by Phill Niblock Dreyblatt and Joseph Celli emerged.
