Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur

(Also known as IIT Kanpur ) The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur is a technical university in Kanpur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the best engineering colleges in India. Currently, about 4,000 students study here.

History

The IIT Kanpur was established in 1959. Since 1963 it is located on its campus. In the first decade after its founding, it has benefited from the Kanpur Indo- American Programme, the leading American universities belonged. In 1963 the first computer science courses were offered.
