Indian Museum

The Indian Museum ( Bengali: ভারতীয় জাদুঘর ) is an Indian Museum in Calcutta.

The museum was founded in 1814 by the Danish botanist Nathaniel Wallich near Kolkata, Serampore. The museum is the largest museum in India and has a rare collection of antiques, weapons, ornaments, fossils, skeletons, mummies and paintings. The museum is one of the oldest existing museums worldwide. Managed the Museum by the Indian Ministry of Culture.
