Indian National Congress

The Indian National Congress (INC ) (English Indian National Congress), also known as the Congress Party, was the leading movement of the Indian struggle for independence. It is recognized as a National Party of India. The Congress Party was until the late 1990s as the all-India party, numerous other mainly regional parties arising from spin-offs of the Congress Party.

History

The Congress party is a jointly established in 1885 in Pune by Hindus and Muslims Indian party. The actual founding meeting took place from 28 - 30th December 1885 held in Mumbai.
