Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra of Indianapolis with its chief conductor Mario Venzago (since 2002) is one of the seventeen major professional orchestras in the United States. It hosts 25 per season (usually repeated three times) Subscription symphony concerts. There are also other events such as opera performances, but also a very successful Popreihe ( with Broadway and film music ). Unusual is his world-famous music education program for children.

Since September 2011, the Polish conductor Krzysztof Urbanski takes up the post of music director.
