Indianola is the county seat of Warren County in the U.S. state of Iowa. In 2005, the city had 14,156 inhabitants. The city is known for the National Balloon Classic, a balloon museum.

Indianola is located approximately in the center of the state, west of Iowa City and south of Des Moines and has an area of 23.8 km ².
