Indramat

The Indramat GmbH was founded in 1958 as the Society for the industrialization - rationalization and automation in Neuwied on the Rhine.

Core business was the manufacture of electric motors, drives and controls for machine tools, printing machinery, packaging machinery, in the food industry, for presses and for assembly and handling systems.

1965 bought Rexroth based in Lohr am Main, the well-established Indramat GmbH to get expertise in machine control. 1968 Rexroth AG was acquired including the Indramat GmbH Mannesmann. In 2001, Bosch mechanical engineering branch of Mannesmann and named the Indramat GmbH in order to Bosch Rexroth - Electric Drives and Controls GmbH of Bosch Rexroth AG. The name Indramat was not further used. 2012, the GmbH was merged with Bosch Rexroth AG.
