Indre (Loire-Atlantique)

Indre ( Breton Antr or Endrez ) is a municipality with 4026 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Loire -Atlantique in the Pays de la Loire region of France. Indre belongs to the Communauté urbaine de Nantes Métropole.

The name of the village is derived from the Latin word antrum ( cave ).

Indre is also known as city of the three islands.
