Induno Olona

Induno Olona is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 10,400 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Varese, in the Lombardy region. The community is located approximately 4 km north-northeast of Varese in the Parco del Campo dei Fiori in the valley of the Olona. The municipality belongs to the Comunità montana del Piambello.

History

With the invasion of the Gallic tribes in the north of the Italian peninsula, the story Induno Olonas begins. For the small hamlet Pezza can be a Roman settlement in the first century BC prove.

Economy and Transport

Induno Olona Located on the Strada Statale 344 di Porto Ceresio as well as on the Strada Statale 233 Varesina. On the railway line Varese Porto Ceresio consists in Induno Olona a train station. The local brewery, the Birrificio Angelo Poretti has since been acquired by Carlsberg Group.
