Inés Sastre
Inés Sastre Moratón ( born November 21, 1973 in Valladolid, Spain) is a Spanish fashion model, model and actress. In Germany, less known for over 20 years but it is one of the internationally established models. Currently, she lives in London and Paris.
Career
At twelve, Inés Sastre launched her meteoric career: After a fashion shoot for the Spanish department store chain El Corte Inglés, she was engaged for a Mc Donalds TV commercial. In this publicity she discovered cult director Carlos Saura and made her a leading lady in his next film. So they quickly became quite well known in the Spanish-speaking world.
In 1989 she won the international ' look- of- the Year' competition of the renowned Paris Super model agency Elite. But she hit her from the agency offered contract to complete the school. In 1992 she took up her studies at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she graduated with a degree in French literature. Sastre was for her starring role in the Argentinian film Un amor de Borges ( 2000) nominated for an award from the Asociación de Críticos Cinematográficos de Argentina. She played a major role in the award winning film Vidocq (2001) alongside Gérard Depardieu. In the film drama The Lost City (2005) she starred opposite Andy Garcia, Dustin Hoffman and Bill Murray.
