Infanta Maria das Neves of Portugal

Maria das Neves de Bragança (Portuguese Dona Maria das Neves Isabel Carlota Eulalia Micaela Gabriela Rafaela Gonzaga Adelaide de Paula de Assis e Inês Sofia Romana de Bragança ) (* August 5, 1852 in Klein Heubach, † February 15, 1941 in Vienna) was a Infanta of Portugal.

Life

Maria das Neves was the daughter of King Michael I of Portugal and Princess Adelaide of Löwenstein -Wertheim -Rosenberg.

They married on April 26, 1871 Alfonso Carlos de Borbón, Duke of San Jaime, the last heir of the Carlist line of the Spanish Bourbons. This was the son of Juan de Borbón y Braganza, Count of Montizon and the Archduchess Maria Beatrix of Austria -Este.

Mary died on 15 February 1941, 88 years in Austria. She was buried in Puchheim.
