Inferior labial artery

The arteria labialis inferior ( " lower lip artery ") is an artery of the head to supply the lower lip.

The arteria labialis inferior originates in the area of ​​the mouth angle of the facial artery, pulls beneath the depressor anguli oris forward. It passes through the orbicularis oris and runs through tortuous along the lower lip. There it supplies the skin and mucous membrane of the lip, the lip glands and the orbicularis oris.
