Inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery

Called with animals pancreaticoduodenal artery caudal ( " posterior pancreatic duodenal artery " ) - - The pancreaticoduodenal artery inferior ( " lower pancreatic duodenal artery ") is an artery of the abdominal cavity.

The inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery arises from the upper visceral artery ( superior mesenteric artery ) at the level of the lower portion of the small intestine and moves to the head of the pancreas and the duodenum. There, it anastomoses with the superior pancreaticoduodenal artery. It provides the head of the pancreas and the descending limb of the duodenum.
