Infernal (Danish band)

Infernal is a Danish dance music duo from Copenhagen. It consists of Paw Lagermann ( born July 30, 1977) and Lina Rafn ( born August 12, 1976). The first album was also Søren Haahr as the third musician here, who got out in 2001 to start his own project Red $ tar.

Life

In 1997 they released their debut single product range de l' enfer and 1998, their first album Infernal Affairs, the same contained the first national hit with the techno version of the Russian song Kalinka. For this album, they received a Danish Grammy.

2001 published the albums Waiting for Delight and Muzaik on which with Let Me Hear You Say Yeah another national hit was represented. In 2003, she participated along with the German group SNAP! the single The Cult of Noise on.

In 2004, she appeared so far most successful album From Paris to Berlin, whose title song was also placed in 2005 among the top 20 in several European charts and even in Australia. In May 2006, she finished second in the British charts. As part of the 2006 World Cup in Germany, a cover version was titled From London to Berlin, which was the anthem of the British football fans during the World Cup.

Infernal are known for experimental house with Technoanklängen where they mix together different genres and instruments with techno. When Kalinka it was a sample of Russian choral singing in product range de l' enfer bagpipe music in Muzaik scat and Banjo Thing a banjo.

While the original of From Paris to Berlin flopped in Austria, the cover of the Austrian singer Disco Bee was able to place up to number 14 in the Austrian charts.
