Infestation

As Infestation (from Latin: infestare attack ), the settlement of an organism with a parasite called that does not multiply in the host organism. Equivalent to the notion of invasion is used.

As an example, the colonization of the intestinal tract with a tapeworm may be cited, as with the rat tapeworm Hymenolepis diminuta, the intermediate hosts are meal worms and larvae of dog and rat flea and the human being infested on the inclusion of infected insect larvae with food.

The re-colonization of a host after initially successful treatment called reinfestation.
