Inflatable movie screen

An inflatable screen is an existing PVC - coated fabric air filled frame into which a projection screen with a luminance factor ( " gain factor" ) is hooked by 1. It is also possible with rear projection screens, which can be up to 20 mx 10 m tall. Larger inflatable frames have one or more supportive center column.

The stability of the frame, a cold air fan that keeps the internal pressure ensures constant straight. Other models with sealed frame system do not require a permanent air supply.

A system of tensioning ropes and counter weights secures the attachment to wind force 5 ( Beaufort 5 on the Beaufort scale), which is equivalent to approximately a maximum wind speed of 38 km / h. The inflatable screens can be mounted free standing almost everywhere, regardless of facades, scaffolds or other supporting structures. It is also possible to suspend the screen or to build floating on water. The projectors have been over the years, increasingly effective, compact and at the same time brighter.

Inflatable screens are used primarily in open air cinemas and outdoor events. Since 1994, they have changed the market by messenger to the steel mills a low cost alternative that is faster to assemble and disassemble. The number of open-air cinemas increased in the last 15 years, not least by steadily and has become not only in big cities but also in small towns to the trend.

Besides the use of the inflatable screens at events that require projectors, these are used in outdoor advertising. Instead of a printed canvas with an advertising message Megaposter is clamped into the inflatable frame. This special advertising forms are set up especially at festivals, fairs and on busy streets.
