Infrahyoid muscles

As Musculi infrahyoidei (Latin for "Under hyoid muscles " ) summarizes one of the following four skeletal muscles:

  • Musculus sternohyoideus
  • Musculus omohyoideus
  • Musculus sternothyroideus
  • Thyrohyoid muscle

The Musculi infrahyoidei function is, inter alia, the hyoid bone downward ( caudal ) to draw and to draw the sternum and the shoulder girdle upward ( accessory muscles in breathing and swallowing).
