Inga Thompson

Kristin Inga Thompson, married. Thompson -Benedict, ( born January 27, 1964) is a former American racing driver.

From the mid 1980s until the early 1990s Inga Thompson was one of the most successful racing drivers of the United States. Four times she was U.S. champion, 1991 and 1993 in the road race and in 1990 and 1991 in the time trial. Three times she launched in the road race at the Olympic Games: 1984 in Los Angeles, she was ranked 21, 1988 in Seoul and 1992 eight place in Barcelona ranked 26th in 1987 they won silver in the road race at the Pan American Games in Indianapolis.

The UCI Road World Championships 1990 in the Japanese Utsunomiya Thompson was vice-world champion in the team time trial, together with Eve Stephenson, Maureen Manley and Phyllis Hines. The following year, at the Road World Championships in Stuttgart, she was vice-world champion in the road race, behind Leontien Zijlaard -van Moorsel.

1987 Inga Thompson won the Women 's Challenge in the U.S., after it had already become a third party in 1984 and 1985 Second, 1992, she was again second. In 1986, she was third in the Grande Boucle Féminine. In 1991 and 1992 she won second place in the Tour de l' Aude Cycliste Feminin.
