Ingeborg Hallstein (* May 23, 1936 in Munich ) is a German opera singer ( coloratura soprano).

Biography and artistic work

Ingeborg Hallstein was born in 1936 in Munich as daughter of the well-known soprano and singing teacher Elisabeth Hallstein. At age 16, even during her school years, she began to study singing with her mother.

1957 was the only 21 -year-old Hallstein her first engagement at the Stadttheater Passau and made his debut there as Musetta in Puccini's La Bohème. In 1958 she was offered a contract at the Theater Basel, but was brought in 1959 by Willy Duvoisin as a coloratura soprano at the Munich Gärtnerplatztheater.
