Geography
Geographical Location
Ingeleben lies south of the nature park Elm Lappwald. The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Heeseberg, which has its headquarters in the town of Jerxheim.
History
In 1086 the town was first mentioned as Ingelovo. As troops moved during the Thirty Years' War by the place, Inge life and the church bought by the sack -free. A stone cross (Sweden Cross) at the crossroads of the village indicates this action.

For local elections on 11 September 2011 for the first time a civil list has been established. All seven council members belong to the civil list Ingeleben (BLI ). For Mayor Sonja Spindler was re-elected.
