Ingo Friedrich

Ingo Friedrich ( born January 24, 1942 in Kutno / Warta Country ) is a German politician ( CSU), CSU Vice Chairman and former Member of the European Parliament.

Life

Friedrich studied after the military service as a scholar of the Foundation of the German people of Economics at the Friedrich -Alexander -University Erlangen -Nuremberg.

Parallel to his work as an officer in the electrical industry and its political commitment, he received his doctorate in 1971, Dr. rer. pol. From 1978, Frederick took over the management of the Board Referates at Standard Elektrik Lorenz in Stuttgart.

He is married to Britta Friedrich and has two children.

Policy

After completing his studies in 1968 Friedrich elected District Chairman of the Junge Union Middle Franconia. 1972 Frederick was elected in the district of White Castle -Gunzenhausen to CSU district chairman. In the same year he was elected to the municipal parliaments his hometown Gunzenhausen and the county White Castle -Gunzenhausen.

In the first direct European elections in 1979 Friedrich was elected as a deputy to the European Parliament, where he served continuously until 2009.
