Ingo Taleb Rashid

Ingo Taleb Rashid ( born 2 May 1963) is a native of Iraq Sufi Sheikh and dance theater director.

Life and work

Rashid is the director of El Haddawi, a school for Integrative Bodywork and leader of the Naqshbandi - Rashidiya Sufi tradition and founder of Movement Concept - a teaching and learning system which incorporates many years of following areas in which studies: Modern Dance, Traditional movement and meditation forms of the Middle East, drama, classical Japanese martial arts, butoh dance, Noh theater, Feldenkrais Method, Capoeira, classical Ballet, Stanislavsky acting method, stuntman training.

Since his youth Rashid maintains repeatedly extended stays in Japan to study martial arts and culture. Since 1993 he has worked repeatedly with Kazuo Ohno ( one of the founders of the Japanese Butoh ) and his son Yoshito.

He choreographed, among other things, the musical Peace Child, one of the first theater productions in Israel, worked together in the Jewish and Arab children. The production Danse Macabre was inspired by the dance of death images of Mill Bridge in Lucerne and premiered there and in Graz.

Rashid regularly conducts performances, seminars and lectures in Europe, Asia, North and South America. He has been held since 2001, the international El Haddawi - Winter School on woman Chiemsee, Chiemgau since 2008, the dance theater festival and seminar trips.
