The Ingolstadt Nord train station is next to the central station in Ingolstadt, the second in-service passenger station in Ingolstadt.

History

As part of the new Nuremberg -Ingolstadt, the station was extensively remodeled. The station was there part of the lot node Ingolstadt, which included the three-pronged extension of the line to the central station. The Free State of Bavaria commissioned the construction of platforms on the tracks of the new line in Ingolstadt Nord Bahnhof. After the planning status of 1994, the use of the station was still provided by local trains the new line as an option.

The station building of 1869/1870 was demolished on March 6, 2010. Currently (2010) a new station building is built. There was an architectural competition, in which was expressed by a majority of the City Council for the demolition of the reception building and the construction of a parking garage with 290 parking spaces and integrated travel center.
