Ingrid Eberle

Ingrid Eberle ( born June 3, 1957 in Dornbirn ) is a former Austrian alpine skier. She won the bronze medal in the combined at the world championships in 1980 and achieved two podium finishes in the World Cup.

Biography

Eberle began at the age of six years with the skiing. Even her five year old sister Sigrid Eberle was a ski racer, the father was in the 1950s in Nordic skiing active. In the age group pupils II Eberle 1970 Austrian student champion in the combination and 1971 in the slalom. After their inclusion in the squad of the Austrian Ski she came in winter 1972/1973 in the European Cup regularly used. She was a good all-rounder, won both a downhill in Schladming slalom and one in Barèges and was third in the overall standings.
