Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld

Ingrid van Houten - Groeneveld, Groeneveld, born, ( born 1921 ) is a Dutch astronomer who worked at the University of Leiden.

Together with her husband Cornelis Johannes van Houten and Tom Gehrels the astronomer, she was involved as part of the Palomar - Leiden Survey on the discovery of a total of 4329 asteroids.

This Gehrels made ​​extensive sky shots with the 48-inch Schmidt camera of the Mount Palomar Observatory in the United States. The photographic plates were shipped to the Netherlands and evaluated at the University of Leiden for the determination of asteroids.
