Ingwe Local Municipality

Ingwe (English Ingwe Local Municipality ) is a municipality in the district Sisonke, Province of KwaZulu -Natal in South Africa. The administrative center is Creighton. Nomangungu Luzulane is the mayor. The ANC represents the majority in the City Council.

The municipality is named after the Zulu word for "leopard". In 2001, the population was 95,151 in a total area of 1970 km ².

The most important cities in the municipality are Creighton, Donnybrook, Ncwadi and Nqumeni.
