Inker

Inker (of English Ink " Ink " derived job title ) is a job title in the comic book industry. A Inker draws pencil templates by using black ink or ink, where he gives the templates, the final shape.

For that purpose the Inker Ink springs or brush. Once the ink has dried, the pencil drawings are removed with an eraser. With certain drawing techniques and different shades of gray and spatial depth can be simulated.

Depending on the nature of the comic is the tracer ( Engl: penciller ) and Pens ( Engl: Inker ) one and the same person or there is consummated a division of labor, as is the case with most commercial comics. In this way a comic can be produced much faster, since the workers are more specialized in their sub-regions and can work parallel to each other.
