Inkolat

Inkolat ( to spätlat. Incolatus = living in one place ) is a term from the right needle, and denotes the acquired by birth or formal affiliation with the recording masters or knighthood in the ( old) Austrian and Czech lands. Only in the Lusatias there was no Inkolat, admission to the noble country community was there much easier.

The award of the Inkolats was the ability to acquire landtäflicher goods, the right to participate in the state legislatures and the application linked to offices, which were reserved for members of the Estates. Until the Thirty Years' War stands alone decided on the award of Inkolats. After the failure of the feudal uprising of 1618/19 the king was in the " country Verneuerten order" of 1627 this right. With the end of the feudal constitutions in 1848 the Inkolat largely lost its meaning.
