Inna Zhelannaya

Inna Yuryevna Schelannaja (Russian Инна Юрьевна Желанная; born February 20, 1965 in Moscow) is the founder and long-time lead singer of the band Farlanders. She works in the field of original ethnic music. Inna Schelannaja worked with musicians such as Mari Boine and Trey Gunn ( King Krimson ).

The music albums by Inna Schelannaja were published in Germany and in the United States and ranked on the top places in the world charts.

Numerous articles have appeared in Rolling Stone, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle and the Village Voice (all USA), which they described as " astonishing and unique voice", as well as Scotsman, Herald (all UK), Frankfurter Rundschau, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ( all Germany ) and in many music magazines in the world. The concert of the band in Wuppertal ( Germany ) in October 1999, was received by the German music magazine FolkWorld in the top ten of the best concerts of the year 1999.
