Innertkirchen

Within churches is a municipality in the Interlaken- Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.

Geography

The village is situated in the Haslital in the Bernese Oberland, 6 km southeast of Meiringen, separated from it by the Aare and is an important transport hub. South of the village before the village of Switzerland Guttannen takes the longest river Aare its beginning. Within churches is the starting point for Triftgletscher ( Gadmen ) at Gadmen and Rosenlaui via Meiringen or via mountain path to Dosse hut.

Innertkirchen also leads the road to Understock and the Urbach, from where you can continue to come to Gauligletscher, the Dosse hut and the Engelhorn hut.

Economy

In Innertkirchen the lowest level of the hydroelectric power plants of the Grimsel Oberhasli AG is (short KWO).

Traffic

Innertkirchen leads out over the Grimsel Pass to Gletsch in the Canton of Valais and over the Susten Pass road to Wassen in the canton of Uri. Tourist Innertkirchen is known besides these two passes through the Aare Gorge. Next is Innertkirchen endpoint of the Meiringen- Innertkirchen train.

In addition, there are 4 campsites, which are used in the summer for families, walkers and cyclists'. Within churches has three restaurants ( Seasonal ).

Close attractions include the Aare gorge, the Urbach, the Reichenbach Falls, the open air museum ball mountain and the Hasliberg.
