Innes (crater)

42.83

Innes is an impact crater on the side of the moon and therefore can not be observed directly from Earth. It is located less than 40 kilometers east- southeast of the striking crater Seyfert. Other notable craters in the area are Meggers in the southeast and located in west- southwesterly direction crater Polzunov.

The formation of Innes has hardly any signs of erosion and is clearly visible. The outline has a substantially circular shape with a slight bulge on the west side. The inner crater walls have fallen behind in places, and have made some minor terraces. The crater floor has except for a few tiny craterlets no notable marks.
