Innes McCartney

Innes McCartney (born 1964 ) is a British author, divers, historians and underwater archaeologist.

Life

McCartney studied history at Keele University, the University of Exeter and Bournemouth University.

In 1999 he was the British submarine HMS M1. In 2001 he located at the British Diving shipwreck HMS Indefatigable and HMS Defence, which fell at the Battle of Jutland in 1916. The Wreck of the comet was discovered by McCartney in July 2006 at Cape La Hague. In 2008 he found the shipwreck SS Armenian. McCartney wrote several books about his discoveries in underwater archeology.
