Innisfallen Island

Innisfallen Iceland (Irish Inis Faithlinn ) is a 8.7 -hectare island located with several other in Lough Leane, a lake at Killarney in County Kerry in the Republic of Ireland.

Lake and island are part of Killarney National Park, the island is significant because of the ruins of the Abbey Innisfallen.

Perhaps the Lough Leane owes its name to the monastery on Innisfallen because the Irish name Loch Lein translates to " lake of learning " means.
