Inorganic Chemistry (journal)

Inorganic Chemistry, abbreviated Inorg. Chem, is a peer -reviewed scientific journal, published since 1962 by the American Chemical Society.

The bi-weekly publication of original articles covering all areas of inorganic chemistry, where the emphasis is placed on the basic research on the synthesis and structure elucidation as well as thermodynamic properties, reactivity, spectroscopy, and the investigation of binding properties. The articles deal with this theoretical and practical work on new or interesting in the current research links on the following topics:

  • Structural Chemistry
  • Thermodynamics
  • Kinetics
  • Inorganic Reaction Mechanisms
  • Bioinorganic Chemistry
  • Organometallic
  • Elucidation of the chemical bond

The Impact Factor was in 2012 at 4,593. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge, the journal impact factor with this in the category of inorganic chemistry is out in fifth place out of 43 journals.

Richard Eisenberg from the University of Rochester is the current editor in chief of Inorganic Chemistry.
