Insafe

Insafe is a European network of national organizations which have the aim to promote awareness of safe and responsible use of the Internet among young people. Overall, 27 countries participate in Europe at this youth media protection. The coordination office is located in Brussels.

Founding and goals

Insafe was co-founded by the Safer Internet Program of the European Commission. Every country in the Insafe network has a so-called national reconnaissance center, which implements campaigns, coordinated actions, establishes national synergies and advancing cooperation at European level. Insafe and all national centers funded by the Safer Internet Program of the European Commission. The European Schoolnet took over the role of network coordinator at European level.

Insafe network members organize the annual Safer Internet Day.
