Institut français (Munich)

The Institut français de Munich is the branch of French Cultural Institute in Munich, it is more than 50 years in the former Palais d' Aix Seyssel (Year: 1856) in the Kaulbachstraße 13 near the university in the district Maxvorstadt.

Facilities and Services

The institute offers annually to a seminar in the easel what it eight French people of culture, politics, education and business invites to discuss the Franco-German relations. It also has about 100 French - language courses with annual total of more than 2500 participants. Even more courses, the Institute offers which prepare in different degrees and certificates, including the DELF DALF the program.

It offers readings, concerts, exhibitions and conferences. The bulk of this is dedicated to current trends in art and society debate, the exchange of ideas and the Franco-German relations in general. It also provides information on France and presents in a library more than 28,000 books, audio-visual media and magazines willing to borrow.

Cooperations

There is cooperation with Bavarian schools and universities. Thus, graduates of the bavarian vocational schools who have acquired the technical university, to be trained as a second foreign language at the Institut français in French and so obtain the general university.
