The Instrutsch (Russian Инструч, German Inster ) is a river in Russia in Kaliningrad Oblast in the former East Prussia. It rises north-east of the village Dobrowolsk and forms west of Tschernjachowsk together with the Angrapa the Pregel.

The oldest name of the river is Instrut / Instrud. In interpreting the linguists do not agree on: The most likely is " mouth / influence" (cf. Lithuanian: Istras, Intaka ).
