Inter-District Championship (Fiji)
The Inter- District Championship ( IDC) is the most important competition for football clubs from Fiji under the supervision of the Fiji Football Association. Teams from different provinces of Fiji take part in the IDC. 1987 was due to a military coup is the only year in which the contest was not held.
The Lloyd Farebrother Trophy, which is handed over to the winners of the IDC, was named after the first President of the Fiji Football Association, AS Farebrother and Lloyd and Company named.
Only five teams took part in 1938 ( teams from Suva, Rewa, Ba, Levuka and Lautoka ) at the first edition of the IDC in Suva. From 1938 to 1975, the competition in the knockout mode has been played 1976 group matches have been played. Since 1985, the IDC will be held in two divisions, 1999, there was also a third division.

The Inter- District Championship will be played in two divisions. The best ten provinces Fiji play in the first division. Those are currently Ba, Labasa, Lautoka, Nadi, Nadroga, Nasinu, Navua, Rewa, Suva and Tavua. The teams are divided into two groups of five clubs. Each team plays against every other team once. A win puts three points, a draw and none for a defeat two. The best two teams of each group qualify for the semi-finals. The group winners will play against the runners-up of the respective other group. The semi-finals and finals will be played on the same day.
The second division consists of 12 teams from the provinces of Bua, Dreketi, Lami, Nadogo, Nalawa, Rakiraki, Savusavu, Seaqaqa, Tailevu / Naitasiri, Tailevu Northern, Taveuni and Vatukoula. The Division is divided into three groups of four teams, each team plays one match against each other team in the group. In contrast to the first division a draw is worth one point. The best two teams of each group qualify for the semi-finals. The group winners will play against the runners-up of the respective other group. The semi-finals and finals will be played on the same day.
