Intercontinental Futsal Cup
The Futsal World Cup is a since 2004, organized by FIFA Futsal tournament for club teams where the winner of the UEFA Futsal Cup, which organized by the CONMEBOL Torneo Sudamericano de Clubes de Futsal, the masters from Japan and the United States, the defending champion, and up to three invited teams participate. Tournaments between the best teams from South America and Europe were already taken place between 1996 and 2001, but were not officially recognized.
Are eligible to participate:
- Winners of the UEFA Futsal Cup
- Winners organized by the CONMEBOL Torneo Sudamericano de Clubes de Futsal
- Winner of the Japanese Championship
- Winner of the Championship of the United States
- Titleholder
- A team from the host country
Since 2007
- Two more teams will be invited
