Inner life is the first feature film directed by Woody Allen, who was created as a serious drama. Action

The interior designer 's Eve and the lawyer Arthur are a couple of advanced age. Her three daughters Flyn, Joey and Renata have outgrown the home and lead their own lives. Arthur decides to separate from his wife temporarily to gain clarity about his other life goals in Greece. The decision means that the family structures retracted messed up. Joey gives up her job as an editor and is determined to abort her unborn child. Renata, who must play within the family rivalry with Joey, gets into a marriage crisis because her husband with his work as a writer is dissatisfied. The abandoned Eve performs a suicide attempt that fails, however. Arthur opened his daughters that he wants to divorce from Eve and wants to marry the somewhat naive Mittsechzigerin Pearl. Pearl is not accepted by the daughters Joey and Renata in the family. Nevertheless, Arthur marries her in the presence of his daughters. On the night of the wedding ceremony, the tragedy happens: The abandoned Eve enters the house and talking to Joey. Eve then disappears rushed and ends her life in the surf of the ocean itself an end.
